I’m Ashley Newcomb, PhD, founder of Inspired Coaching and Leadership.
My work is centered on a simple but often overlooked reality: organizations do not function based on structure alone—they function based on people.
Across my career in leadership, organizational systems, and higher education, I have worked in environments where performance, accountability, and engagement were critical. I have seen firsthand how organizations struggle when individuals feel disempowered, disconnected, or unsure of their role in driving outcomes.
I have also seen what happens when that changes.
When people begin to take ownership, when systems support rather than suppress initiative, and when leadership and followership operate together—organizations become healthier, stronger, and more resilient.
I specialize in organizational resilience and followership development.
My approach challenges the idea that leaders alone are responsible for outcomes. Instead, I focus on how influence moves through an organization—how trust is built, how accountability is shared, and how individuals contribute to or limit progress.
This includes the development of the Influence Bank framework, which explores how leaders rely on the willingness of others to grant influence, and how that dynamic shapes performance, culture, and results.
My approach is both direct and encouraging.
I believe in telling the truth about what is happening inside an organization, while also helping clients see what is possible beyond it.
I do not offer generic solutions. Every organization has its own dynamics, pressures, and opportunities. My role is to help you see clearly, think differently, and act intentionally.
